The Optifocus workflow

From guided capture to confident measurements.

Optifocus simplifies the measurement process with guided positioning, intelligent assistance and professional review, helping optical teams capture reliable results with less friction.

Create a customer session

Start a new measurement session and capture the customer’s basic details before beginning.

Capture with guided assistance

Follow on-screen guidance to position the customer correctly and capture the required images or measurements with better consistency.

Get intelligent measurement assistance

Optifocus analyses the captured information and provides assisted measurement results along with quality and confidence indicators.

Review, confirm & report

Review the suggested measurements, make adjustments when necessary, confirm the final values and generate a secure measurement report.

Core capabilities

Everything needed for smarter optical measurements.

Optifocus combines guided image capture, AI-assisted PD measurement, quality checks, professional review and secure reporting into one streamlined workflow.

Guided image capture

On-screen guidance helps operators position customers correctly and capture clear, usable images for measurement.

AI-assisted PD measurement

Automatically estimate monocular and total pupillary distance from captured images, with results presented for professional review.

Intelligent quality checks

Detect poor captures and provide actionable feedback so operators can retake the image instead of relying on unreliable measurements.

Professional review & correction

Review AI-assisted measurements, make manual corrections when needed and confirm the final values before they are recorded.

Secure store management

Keep customer sessions, measurements and reports organized and accessible only to authorized optical-store users.

Digital measurement reports

Generate secure, traceable reports containing the finalized measurements for easy record keeping and sharing.

Human in the loop

AI assists the measurement. The professional makes the call.

Optifocus provides AI-assisted measurements and capture-quality feedback, while keeping the optical professional in control of every final result.

Review before confirmation

AI-generated measurements are clearly marked as suggestions, giving the operator the opportunity to review and confirm them before they become part of the final record.

Correct when needed

If a measurement doesn’t look right, the operator can adjust the result or retake the capture instead of blindly accepting an automated output.

See measurement confidence

Quality and confidence indicators help the operator understand when a capture is reliable and when another attempt may be needed.

Keep a clear record

Final measurements remain connected to the customer session, allowing operators to maintain a clear and traceable measurement history.

Safety by design

Built to assist professionals, not replace them.

Optifocus is designed around professional oversight. Every measurement passes through capture-quality checks, AI-assisted analysis, human review and controlled reporting before it becomes a final record.

PRINCIPLE 01

Quality before measurement

Poor lighting, incorrect positioning, unclear facial features or low-quality images are flagged before they can produce unreliable measurements.

PRINCIPLE 02

Professional control

AI provides measurement assistance, but the optical professional reviews and confirms the result before it is finalized.

PRINCIPLE 03

Secure & traceable

Customer data, measurement sessions and reports are protected with controlled access and clear records of measurement and review activity.

Important: Optifocus is an assisted measurement tool for optical professionals. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment recommendations or final prescriptions. Measurements should be professionally reviewed before use.

Authentication and data use

Clear about the account data we use.

Optifocus uses Google Firebase Authentication only to verify an operator's phone number, establish an authenticated session, and protect access to store records.

What we receive

A verified phone number, Firebase account identifier, and authentication or security events needed to operate and secure the account.

What we do not request

Optifocus does not use Google Sign-In and does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or other Google Account content.

How it is used

Authentication data is used for account access, security, support, and abuse prevention—not advertising or sale. Details and privacy-request options are in our Privacy Policy.

Who it helps

Each participant gets the information and control appropriate to their role.

Store owners

Manage store access, maintain a consistent customer workflow, and keep records organized by tenant.

Frequently asked

What to know before getting started.

Is Optifocus a diagnostic or prescription tool?

No. Optifocus assists capture and measurement review. It does not diagnose, recommend treatment, or produce a final prescription, and its output requires review by an optical professional.

What happens when a capture is not suitable?

The workflow can reject the capture with a clear reason—such as positioning, visibility, or confidence—and guide the operator to retake it instead of returning a plausible-looking value.

Can an operator correct a proposed value?

Yes. The review workflow is designed to separate proposed values from confirmed values and retain the correction context in the session audit trail.

How are reports protected?

Reports are stored privately, linked to an authorized store session, and made available through time-limited download links rather than public object URLs.

Which devices and environments are supported?

The production device matrix and measurement tolerances are still being validated. Early-access deployments should use only the agreed pilot devices and operating conditions.

How can my store join early access?

Email the Optifocus team with your store name, location, preferred devices, and expected operator count. The team will confirm whether the current pilot is a suitable fit.
